4 things: You can learn from Formation (Beyonce)

 

Beyonce or “Queen Bey” has shocked the world yet again with her presence including an amazing impromptu new song called, Formation . Her performance at the SuperBowl was also one to remember with her fierce background dancers with their afros. But the backlash keeps coming, and coming, and coming. Yet it is to be expected for such a powerful  performance movement. This whole song including her performance made me realize a few things. Now see what you can learn from Beyonce.

 

Dream it, do it

Success is not about just thinking about what you want to do. It’s about doing. It’s about getting up every morning to that job you hate, and grinding with a smile. Go home. Wake up. and repeat. But the main point is don’t forget why you are at that job you hate. Build your coins. And when you get home, work on your dreams, whether it is to be an entrepreneur, dancer, singer, whatever. Work hard. Grind ’till you own it.

 

 

“I like my baby hair with baby hair and afros”

This.  Beyonce finally addresses those critiques that talk about her daughters fro. Now you know I’m pro-natural hair. So this was likely one of my favorite versus from #formation. People pay so much attention to children in general, and always have something to say. This is a child. She loves her daughters hair and she wants her to grow up embracing her natural hair and knowing that it is beautiful. #TeamNatural

 

Always stay gracious, the best revenge is your paper

I Slay, We Slay

This to me is all about Self-Love and Confidence. You have to have enough confidence to slay. You must know your worth and affirm it. Also, helping other woman, specifically black women own their confidence as well. It’s important that we slay together so that everyone can know their value and worth. We slay together.
