Go Bananas Treatment

Bananas Treatment

The idea of putting bananas in your hair might sound ridiculous! But when looking for another treatment to use without spending too much $$, than bananas are what you are looking for. This treatment is packed filled with proteins, minerals, and vitamins. All of which are great if you are looking to grow longer, stronger, but most importantly healthy hair.  Let me explain what each element consists of, so that you will see why this treatment is helpful & why you should give it a try!

Bananas

Bananas have a rich source of potassium, protein, and vitamins A,C and E. All of these provide strengthening of the hair strands, which results in healthy hair growth. I used 1 1/2 bananas but you can use more or less depending on the amount of liquids used and the consistency of the mixture.

 Other Benefits include:

  • Moisturized Hair
  • Less itchy scalp
  • Combating frizz

Aloe vera juice

Aloe Vera Juice(plant) has so many benefits! It promotes hair growth, reduces shedding, restores healthy levels of pH to hair as well as scalp, helps dry scalp and dandruff. The list goes on and on! I use 1/4 cups of Aloe Vera Juice for this mixture. (It can be used as nightly moisturizer with 1/2 AVJ & 1/2 water just grab a spray bottle and spritz.

Pure Coconut water (milk)

Pure Coconut milk or water both have great benefits, but if you are looking for a thicker mixture it is best to use coconut milk. Coconut water contains potassium, vitamin C & B.  But the best thing coconut water does is condition the hair from the inside out. So, if you don’t want to use the liquid in your mixture then can be consumed. I use 1/4 cups of coconut water for the mixture.

Other benefits include:

  • increased blood circulation in the scalp
  • helps in the growth process
  • Fights dryness/ prevents breakage.

Note: Make sure you use a stainer to get the extra bananas pulp out so that you do not get the bits in your hair.

Keep Calm and Go Bananas & give it a try!
