Hello! My name is Chaligny and I am 28 years old! I have been natural now for 6 years. I first started transitioning in 2009 and have since then been completely natural since 2010. I chose to go natural because I would wait 6 months or longer to get a relaxer, so I figured it would be easier to just stop. lol. Healthy hair is important to me because it reduces breakage, split ends, and dry (damaged) hair. My future goals for my hair are to try more natural hairstyles and get in the habit of a good hair care regimen.
My struggles with transitioning were hiding two different textures, and trying to keep my hair moisturized. To help my hair during this period I would use my own homemade deep conditioner.
